We are delighted to invite you to a special discussion event on Tuesday 11 August, as Palestinian-Australian activist Shamikh Badra is joined in conversation with Jewish Council of Australia Executive Officer Bart Shteinman.

Shamikh and Bart will share insights into their own work, and explore how we can actively listen and work to promote Palestinian-Jewish solidarity and understanding.

This is the first in a series of planned speaker presentations and in-conversation events, aiming to share diverse views and expertise, stimulate discussion, and provide tools for combating racism and working for human rights, in a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.

Bart Shteinman is an Executive Member and the Executive Officer of the Jewish Council of Australia. He is an expert in public policy, specialising in climate change and education policy. Bart is dedicated to promoting solidarity and understanding between multicultural communities and empowering them to make change. He lives on unceded Gadigal land.

Shamikh Badra is a Palestinian from Gaza. He is a leading member of the Palestinian People's Party (founded in 1919) and co-founder of the Gaza Nippers program.
